The Practice Nurses will work out a programme and administer the injections. Please make an appointment early, i.e. 3 months prior to departure if possible, to ensure validity and obtain the most effect from the vaccines whilst abroad.
Information cannot be given by telephone as you will be required to complete a travel form, which are available from Reception. The reason for this is that health information for traveller’s does change regularly and obtaining clear and up-to-date advice needs to be obtained. Once the form has been completed you can book an appointment at Reception for the Practice Nurse. A fee may be payable for some injections that the NHS will not pay for.
For your own Health and Safety and to assist the nurses you may obtain a TRAVEL BRIEF from the Medical Advisory Services for Travellers Abroad (MASTA) 0891-224100 (charged at premium rate). The information is updated every 24 hours.
